About Us.

Founded in south east London in 2016, District Architects established itself as a studio specialising in design led private & commercial residential projects.

Our Directors, Michael and Alexandra Rees came together with the purpose to create homes that answer the needs and hopes of our clients and deliver something beyond their expectations, believing considered architecture and good design are integral to every project whatever the scale or budget.

District focus on creating tailored solutions, using the challenges and opportunities of each individual scheme to elevate a space from the ordinary to the exceptional.

In 2022, after working together for years with talented craftspeople, contractors and decorators we formed District Build.

As both architects and contractors we offer a fully integrated design through to build service, managing projects from concept to completion. This approach offers a high standard of execution, with design and construction working in complete alignment. By keeping everything under one team we maintain the integrity of the design throughout the build.
