Once a lopsided conversion one bedroom apartment, the client sought to form an extra bedroom within the existing footprint.

This was achieved by flipping the use of each space, splitting the living space into two bedrooms, and creating a new kitchen living space in the generous former bedroom.

The careful selection of the light and dark colour palette and pattern ensures a clear thread runs through the spaces. The kitchen and living space joinery uses a lighter palette which does not dominate but compliments the new living space creating a pleasant juxtaposition between the new and the old.
